Orthotic Fabrication Workshop

This orthotic fabrication course will concentrate on five types of Static Progressive Orthotics: Composite Digit Flexion, IP Flexion, PIP Extension, Wrist Flexion and Extension, and Forearm Supination and Pronation Orthotics.

The course will emphasize hands-on lab practice, understanding the appropriate application for each orthosis type, and recognizing the role of orthotics in addressing specific diagnoses. Participants will also receive a brief overview of differential diagnosis related to hand injuries and conditions. These orthoses will be demonstrated by the instructor, Joann So Ryerson, after which participants will have the chance to create their own.

Attendees will earn 8 contact hours (0.8 CEUs), and all necessary materials will be supplied.
